The M1 label indicates that a product has been tested in accordance with the M1 Emission Classification and complies with the M1 criteria applicable to the product category for VOC, formaldehyde and ammonia emissions, as well as odour acceptability. Products meeting the M1 criteria may be used as part of an approach to assessing and managing material-related chemical emissions in buildings.
The M1 Cleanliness Classification, developed in Finland complies with the M1 criteria for cleanliness, emissions, odour acceptability and cleanability assessed within the classification. Information on these characteristics may be used as one source of information when considering indoor environmental quality in building design and construction.

Rakennustieto Environmental Product Declaration EPD is an environmental declaration that presents the environmental impacts of the product. The calculations for those are based on life cycle analysis (LCA) throughout the whole life span of the product.
